EXPERIÊNCIA DO ENSINO DE BIOLOGIA PELA EXPERIMENTAÇÃO EM UMA ESCOLA ESTADUAL DE EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL

The present work is an account of teaching experience of a biology teacher,
carried out in a state school of professional education of a municipality in the
northern region of the state of Ceará, with students of first year of integrated
high school. We attempted to approach the teaching-learning process with the
experimentation in the biology laboratory of the school. In this work, the
application of experimental activities as a form of didactic resource during the
academic year of 2018 is approached. For this report, a logbook was used
throughout the year. Some 82 hours of practical methods of teaching on the origin
of life, cell biochemistry, cytology and energetic metabolism were carried out for
a total of 160 students, in order to innovate and awaken students' interest,
sedimenting the learning of concepts in the first year. It is emphasized that
teaching through experimentation arouses students' interest and develops skills
related to biological knowledge.
