The experience report came from the discipline "Popular Education and School in the Perspective of Health Promotion" of the Postgraduate Program in Collective Health at the State University of Ceará. The classes were recorded with details on the topics covered that had an impact on the construction of the mandala, in the conception that represented the students' previous knowledge about the EPS. After presentation, the construction of a mandala began considering the scientific literature in the following stages: a) Paulo Freire's problematizing conception; b) EPS: historical roots; c) EPS and SUS principles; d) EPS as a public policy; e) EPS and popular practices; f) EPS: art, spirituality and subjectivity; g) Shared construction of knowledge; h) EPS training. The use of mandalas in EPS proved to be an effective means of appropriating content and sharing experiences and information in a participatory way, even in remote education.
