THE CONTRIBUTION OF MUSIC TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Abstract
This study aims to understand the main concepts about the contribution of music from the perspective of early childhood education, highlighting the various benefits that music brings to the formation of the student's personality, self-esteem and social relationships within the classroom. Quantitative and qualitative research, carried out in public schools in the metropolitan region of Recife-PE. A semi-structured questionnaire was sent via Google Form to 6 postgraduate teachers. The scientific production emphasizes the view of teachers of early childhood education and aims at the real contribution of music to this level of education. Among the main results, it was identified that, in general, teachers know the contributions of music as a facilitator, demonstrate to understand the objectives of musical didactics and realize that it is a tool that can help at various times, including in other disciplines, strengthening interdisciplinarity even in daily life as a socializing function. Music offers early childhood education students activities that motivate, enrich the school environment of comfortable methodologies, learning and cognitive development and stimulate students, allowing them the opportunity to better understand the concept that may not have been well assimilated for lack of a musical didactics.
