SUPERVISED INTERNSHIP IN SCIENCE TEACHING
LECTURING AND METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGIES
Abstract
The educational process builds itself every new day and every social, economic and political development of a given country, also considering the historical construction of it. To understand the social role of education in people’s life is to understand that science teaching cannot be summarized to the comprehension and the concepts of nature laws, but also that it transcends to the understanding of life dynamics through personal experiences. Within this context, the present study has the objective of analyzing the main methodological strategies conducted by Science lectures in elementary school II, collecting the data from lecture plans and from intern reports of Biology students from Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú (UVA). The findings allow to notice a tendency to traditional classes, probing based classes (used mainly as a triggering and/or motivational element), systematically based in textbooks and in the exposition of concepts and evaluation through directed studies and/or active methodologies. Therefore, this manuscript describes an initial analysis of how researching and brainstorming about the pedagogical practices in the context of initial formation so they can be improved to engulf all required demands of teaching practices from 21th century.
