INJURIES OF ATHLETES IN THE MALE BRAZILIAN INTERNAL VOLLEYBALL SELECTION: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Authors

Abstract

In view of the cases of injuries of the athletes of the Brazilian National Team, in addition to the lack of scientific studies on this, research is carried out on Injuries of the athletes of the Brazilian Men's Volleyball Indoor Team. Thus, this integrative review is justified in order to analyze the most frequent injuries, as well as their causes, and point out possible interventions to alleviate them. Therefore, it is necessary to point out the main injuries, examine their causes and propose possible solutions to reduce the cases. After inserting the above, an exploratory qualitative research is carried out. To achieve the objectives, a search was carried out over a period of 10 years on the topic addressed through a thematic analysis and research to obtain the studies. Meanwhile, it was found that excessive training and games by clubs and national teams contribute to the increase in injuries for these athletes and that tendinopathy of the knee extensor mechanism seems to be the main injury affected. Therefore, it is suggested that the use of anklets would reduce ankle injuries in athletes from the Brazilian Men's Volleyball Indoor Team.
