Abstract
ABSTRACT - This article presents a reflection on democratic school management, with the results of an investigation aimed at analysing the contribution of democratic and participative school management in the development of social transformation. And with specific objectives: identify the concept of school management; understand the importance of democratic school management; analyze the actions of a democratic manager in everyday school life. A bibliographical research was carried out, with a qualitative and exploratory approach. Theoretical studies were carried out on authors such as: Luck (2009); Libâneo (2007); Saviani (1999); Silva (2009); Paro (2012), among others. From the research it was found that democratic and participatory school management contributes significantly to the development of social transformation, as the democratic manager enables the participation of all members of the school, whether in decision-making or in the construction of administrative and pedagogical actions, thus promoting the development of quality education for all, in addition to valuing members of the school community and also in the formation of a more democratic society.
