The work aims to analyze theoretical and methodological aspects of Interprofessional Education (IPE) in health education. It is an Integrative Review of articles indexed in the databases of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and the Virtual Health Library (VHL) portal, with the descriptors "Interprofessional Education", "Teaching" and "Curriculum", resulting in 22 publications for its elaboration. There was a limitation of national evidence about the insertion of IPE in Higher Education Institutions, revealing its lack in undergraduate health curricula. The challenges and possibilities of the curricular implementation of this methodology were also highlighted, in addition to highlighting its contributions to professional development and the Health System.
