AÇÕES SOBRE IMPORTAÇÕES DE VACINAS E AS TENDÊNCIAS JURISPRUDÊNCIAS DO SUPREMO TRIBUNAL FEDERAL NO ENFRENTAMENTO DA COVID-19
Abstract
An analysis of the brazilian supreme federal court (STF) decisions in original civil actions (ACO) on the importation of vaccines during the Covid-19 pandemic reveals the intersection between the judicialization of health and federal policy. Using an exploratory methodology with data from the STF's COVID Actions Panel, decisions related to the importation of vaccines from February 2020 to May 2021 were examined. The study highlights the appreciation of the Court's precedents and the arguments used, evidencing a new dynamic in the judicialization of politics during the pandemic. The research highlights the importance of the STF's jurisprudence in defining the powers of federal entities in the fight against Covid-19.
